Special Event - The Royal Visit to Worcester

11 July 2012

Pupils in Year 4 took part in an art project organised by VisitWorcester to design images for bunting for the Royal visit. Famous sights of Worcester were the theme of the images and our bunting took pride of place.

Four pupils were then invited to a Tea Party outside the Guildhall in Worcester for the Royal visit.

Eager anticipation surrounded waiting for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to arrive. Our first glimpse of the Queen was an amazing moment especially as we were stood so close!

After their lunch the Queen and Duke visited our tea party and spoke to us.

We presented the Duke with a gift of gloves made in Worcester. This tied in with the theme of the party... The 1950s.

All of us were so proud to be part of such a big event- and it is certainly one none of us will ever forget!
